Waking Up but Not

I woke up around 6:30 this morning, checked my email, walked around, and then went back to sleep. And then, I had that dream where I keep waking up but not actually, only it was way worse this time. In the dream, I would "wake up" and go to the door, but then I "wake up" again. This repeated a few times with varying distances that I reached in my house. I tried to splash water in my face when I reached the bathroom, and I tried to open the fridge to get water, but I just kept "waking up" over and over again. The last time I had this dream, I managed to wake up for real when I had my eyes closed, so I attemped that again, but it didn't work. At one point during the dream I actually thought I was dying, but my soul was still attached to my body, which explains why I kept bouncing back to it.

Eventually, I woke up for real with a jolt. My working theory is that the heat was suffocating me, but my body wouldn't wake up, so the dream looped. The dream might also represent my inability to escape my house. Whatever the case, I hope it stops because I hate waking up multiple times and not knowing whether or not I would wake up for real.

Mega Man

That is the amazing trailer for a Korean Mega Man 2D side-scrolling MMO. Seriously, that should somehow turn into an animated series as well.

I don't remember what the first Mega Man game I played was, but I believe it was on the GameGear, which I still have lying around somewhere. I always sucked at the games though, except for the one I had on my cellphone where I defeated all of the robot masters. Then I couldn't figure out how to damage the final boss.

The 90s cartoon is probably my fondest memory of Mega Man though. Looking back at it now and watching it on the DVD collection I bought a while back, it was definitely cheesy. Despite that, it's still somehow better than the NT Warrior anime. In fact, I think poor Mega Man's gone a bit downhill as of late. It looks like they are trying to bring him back to his roots though with 9 and 10.

Schedules and Science Centre

Somehow watching Jack Bauer killing a bunch of people for the greater good puts me in a better mood (I bought season 7 today).

So yeah, I'm at the point where I'm ready for school to start now. My timetable was finally completed last week, except for maybe term 2, which I'll deal with in November/December. The English department decided to let me into Medieval Literature after screwing around with me, so I get to complete my minor now! There's still a few more things to add to my schedule though, including work schedule, MSSS meeting and office hours, and maybe karate if I decide to sign up for it. The only reason I wouldn't is because it's at an inconvenient time for me. Regardless, it's going to be a busy year.

Last Sunday's zoo trip turned into a Science Centre trip. It was fun, but I am disappointed we didn't do the Harry Potter exhibit, although it would have been packed with little kids running around waving wands. The place is just as I remember it from grade 10. We went that time specifically for the BodyWorks exhibit, where they took sculptures of humans and animals that showed the internal structures and made them into random poses.

2010/2011 TV Season

The TV shows that I will hopefully be able to follow this fall/winter:

Supernatural
It was supposed to have ended last season, so I'm really hoping they don't screw up my favorite show by prolonging it.

Smallville
The final season...Seems like they're going to go all out (Darkseid!).

The Vampire Diaries
I was bored a few months ago and watched the first season and somehow got hooked, alright?.

Alien invasion stories are fun.

House MD
It's been getting boring, but I gotta stick with it to the end.

Glee
Musicals are fun.

How I Met Your Mother
This needs to end this season before it becomes unwatchable, plus Ted has to meet the mother soon in order for his children to be the right age and such.

The Office
Please end the show or make it good again, but there were a couple of gems last season still.

Greek
Final season I believe...Entertaining enough show.

No Ordinary Family
One of three new shows I want to check out...Hey, it's pretty much the live-action version of The Incredibles, so it must be at least decent, right?

The Cape
Because the world always needs another superhero, and also Summer Glau.

The Event
Mysteries are mysterious.

I watched the first five seasons in less than a month, and I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't start watching when the plane first crashed in the beginning.

Two years was too short...stop canceling Joss Whedon's shows, Fox.

Glenhyrst

So much for maintaining a blog consistently.

Well, I started volunteering at Glenhyrst and have been in a few times now. It's kind of random that I'm doing this actually, and the main reason I signed up two months ago was for something to do in the summer. It took a month for them to contact me, which is understandable since they have camp and other things going on. It's not bad though. I'm volunteering in Art Rental, and the first task they have me doing is going through the database on the computer and writing down all the pieces of art that don't have a preview picture. Then, I had to go through every painting in storage to find them and take a picture. I'm already done this so I won't be going in until the coordinator comes back next week to tell me what to do next. Being around the paintings bring me back to a time where I loved drawing. I shouldn't have stopped taking art after grade 10.

On another note, I have trouble breathing whenever I'm in my house now.
